Sakurabuchi Park is said to have begun when the lord of the castle who ruled over this region planted some cherry blossom trees there in the 17th century. It is still a beautifully scenic area today, where over 2,000 cherry blossoms bloom every year. With the overwhelmingly beautiful contrast between the cherry blossoms and the red bridge stretching over the emerald green water, the idyllic scene expanding before you will make you feel like you've come to Kyoto's Arashiyama. Drifting along in a rental row boat while gazing at cherry blossoms in full bloom will make a wonderful memory. The cherry blossom festival is held every year from the end of March to the middle of April and draws in large crowds.
